A sculpture with a flattened surface, designed for the corner of a room. It plays with perspective, appearing longer and larger than its actual dimensions. Made in California with lace lichen, the work draws on a material that is ecologically specific and delicate. The work also carries a personal resonance, recalling loss and the fading knowledge of lace-making, a craft I practiced as a child with my grandmother but never fully learned.
